Rajmandir Hypermarket was founded in 1986 by Mr. Suresh Mittal, a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for providing accessible, reliable, and affordable retail services to Indian families. Under his leadership, the brand has become a household name in Delhi NCR. Rajmandir Hypermarket is a fast-growing retail chain, offering a wide range of high-quality home and personal care products under one roof. From groceries and kitchen essentials to garments, electronics, and home décor, Rajmandir brings affordability and variety to every Indian household.
With over 45 outlets and decades of retail experience, they are committed to value-driven shopping for all. The retailer has its flagship departmental store in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram. The company has more than 20,000 SKUs, 2000 vendors and 300,000 regular customers.
Rajmandir was running a low-end POS application which was good enough for billing. As the retailer grew in business and opened more stores across Delhi NCR, the application was not able to scale up to the daunting demands of the information system, fast billing, reporting and was too weak in financial accounting. Whenever such reports were required, one person had to be deployed for the work. So, the objective was how to increase efficiency and also get some analytical reports on sale, stocks and profitability, on time.
The solution for the above problems was to replace the existing system with a robust, updated ERP solution supported by a company with repute in the retail domain. The main objective was to have a system that supported quick decision making in what to buy and when to buy, and knowing and analyzing customer purchase patterns. Keeping in mind the instant benefits it could provide, eFacto Retail ERP was shortlisted for implementation
The initial hiccups in implementation were data porting, implementing innumerous schemes and loyalty programs, and training the existing manpower on a new system.
The results were amazing. Billing time was reduced by half. Employees satisfaction increased by double. The POS stores were able to serve double customers within the same time span during the day. Rush hours were easy to handle. Employees took great interest in implementing these machines and were in fact enthusiastic do to so.
Thus, a major retail chain not only increased its sales but had a lot more satisfied customers and contented employees.
